Pray for Mo

  |   Uncategorized

Just 4 short weeks ago 10 year-old Monelson was in critical condition at Hospital Bernard Mevs Project Medishare in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He was clinging to life with bacterial pneumonia and collapsed lungs. Thanks to so many people, Mo was airlifted from Haiti to Hershey Children’s Hospital and has spent the last month (and his 11th birthday!) fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) there. A couple of days ago, Mo was released from the hospital with an enormous smile on his face. Since leaving the hospital, Mo has already experienced many of the sweeter things life has to offer including visiting Hershey Park and trying s’mores for the first time. We are so happy to see Mo healthy and promises of a beautiful life ahead of him with his incredible adoptive family in Pennsylvania, a far cry from the years he spent living in an orphanage in Haiti.

Thank you to everyone who helped saved Mo’s life and for all of the love and support for this courageous young boy. As one of our Medishare staff said “these are the moments that make it all worth it”.
