Supplies purchased for hurricane victims

Thanks to the friends of Project Medishare, more than $32,000 has been raised so far to purchase many necessary supplies to those devastated after hurricanes Faye, Gustav and Hanna ravaged Haiti’s Central Plateau. The communities of Hinche and Thomonde received food supplies, household items such as linens and towels, along with kitchen and cooking utensils.
Below is a list of supplies purchased for the areas suffering from hurricane damage in Project Medishare’s service areas.
Food
➢ Rice 100 sacks = 10000 lbs
➢ Spaghetti 50 cases = 1200 boxes
➢ Beans 50 sacks = 5000 lbs
➢ Corn 50 sacks = 5000 lbs
➢ Oil 25 cases = 600 liters
➢ Sugar 20 sacs = 2000 lbs
➢ Matches 300 boxes
Kitchen utensils
➢ Plastic Basins 120
➢ Cooking pots with covers 120
➢ Buckets 120
➢ Plates/Bowls 300
➢ Cups 300
➢ Spoons 300
Linens
➢ Sheets 300
➢ Pillow cases 300
➢ Towels 150
Toys for children
➢ Soccer balls 2 dozen
➢ Dolls 2 dozen
