A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words
This holiday season, Project Medishare for Haiti is more committed than ever to continuing our lifesaving work in Haiti. This past year, we have accomplished so many of our goals and are excited to see what 2013 brings.
In 2012 alone, we treated over 90,000 critically ill and injured patients at our Hospital Bernard Mevs Project Medishare (the only critical care and trauma hospital with adult, newborn and pediatric intensive care units in Haiti); we provided school-based healthcare to over 20,000 children in one of the most impoverished areas in Haiti; we provided over 100,000 adults and children with community health services in the Central Plateau; we were able to deliver babies in our brand new Maternal Health Center that is expected to reduce the maternal mortality rate by 75% in the Central Plateau in the next two years; we trained hundreds of Haitians and we employed hundreds more. These accomplishments are just a few of the milestones that Project Medishare has reached this year, but none of this work can continue in 2013 without your support.
Project Medishare continues to work tirelessly in Haiti to create a better future for the country and its deserving citizens. Our commitment has never wavered, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find funding to maintain these important programs. We pride ourselves on our ability to take one dollar and stretch it to five, meaning that whatever amount you give will have a far greater impact than you could ever imagine.
Think about this:
For just $5, you can fund the medication needed to save the life of an adult or child suffering from cholera
For just $10, you can prevent a child in school from worms and malnutrition for a year
For just $20, you can ensure that a pregnant mom and her baby will receive pre-natal care, a safe delivery, and post-natal care at our Maternal Health Center
From $200 to pay for lifesaving surgery for a baby with hydrocephalus or $2500 to fund healthcare for the children in an entire school for a year, any amount you can donate will make an incredible impact.
We at Project Medishare are so grateful to YOU, our loyal donors, volunteers and supporters, for believing in our work and the impact that we are making in the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and adults in Haiti. You have been instrumental in providing hope and opportunity to the children and adults of the most underserved nation in the Western Hemisphere. We cannot accomplish any of this without you, and we hope that you will consider making a tax-deductible donation today to allow this lifesaving work to continue. Click here to get started– and don’t wait, the Holidays are just days away!
From all of us here at Project Medishare for Haiti, thank you for your support and we wish you a happy, healthy and safe holiday season!
