“Back to School Time” Message from Dr. Barth A. Green

  |   Uncategorized

It’s “Back to School Time” for the 2012-2013 school year. In Haiti, children face many more preventable health risks than in advanced countries like the United States and Canada. You can help Project Medishare diminish these risks by sponsoring a school child for the year. For only $10, you can help enhance a young student’s life through our School Based Health Program.

Through the School Based Health Program, Project Medishare’s mobile team of doctors and nurses visit over 120 schools in the Central Plateau each year to provide children with a physical exam and healthcare during the school year, including vaccinations, an assessment for anemia/malnutrition, a vision and hearing screening, a dental check, de-worming medication and referral to clinics for follow-up. Project Medishare treats approximately 24,000 children per year in this program alone. Your generous donation can help guarantee the continuation of this important program for children of the Central Plateau.

As you prepare your own family and friends for the start of a productive school year, please consider making a contribution to support this program to keep Haitian students safe and healthy. Just $10 sponsors one child and with $100, you can provide 10 children the opportunity to remain vibrant and productive! Healthy children become healthy adults, who are in turn better able to provide for their own families, community and nation. Please help provide these young, deserving students the opportunity to be not the problem but rather the solution to a bright future for Haiti.

Thank you in advance for your consideration to this wonderful program.

Sincerely,

Barth
