Taking a stretch: Volunteers work with spinal cord injury patients

Hannah Friesen from Austin, Texas goes through stretching and strength exercises with a spinal cord injury patient. Each morning the therapist go to the spinal cord unit, to get the patients out of bed and start their physical therapy. Friesen  is volunteering for a month with Project Medishare and will also participate in training the five physical therapy tech students that were hired. Photo by Jennifer Browning.
