American Heritage School basketball program raises money for earthquake relief

  |   Earthquake Response

By Jennifer Browning

Plantation, Fla.’s American Heritage School’s basketball team raised $1,088 for Project Medishare by asking for donations from people attending one of their home games this season.

For their warm-up that evening, the team wore the Save Haiti Project Medishare t-shirts as shooting shirts.

In a note to Project Medishare’s co-Founder, Dr. Barth Green, Coach Danny Herz said that his team was truly honored to help Project Medishare in any way.

These types of efforts are what Project Medishare is all about. People coming together, big and small, rich and poor, with one united message¬† and helping those that are not as fortunate, or those who have experienced a devastating event like the earthquake on January 12. Thank you American Heritage School and thank you to the basketball team who raised money towards Project Medishare’s relief efforts in Haiti.
