Notre Dame D’Haiti Catholic Church this Easter will host a free outdoor concert in the church’s backyard. The event, sponsored by the Miami Dolphins/SunLife Stadium Haiti Relief Fund and organized by the Project Medishare and the UM Global Institute, will kick off a new telecommunication initiative enabling Haitian families in Little Haiti to connect with relatives in Haiti through videoconferencing from Cisco Telepresence.

Starting Monday through Saturday, families in Miami and Haiti can schedule times to use the videoconferencing system.  Notre Dame will host the new facility in Little Haiti, while Project Medishare’s Field Hospital in Port-Au-Prince will serve as the corresponding videoconferencing facility.

Celebrities such as artist Romero Britto and Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne will meet and greet families as they contact their loved ones in Haiti. Savannah Buffett, the daughter of singer Jimmy Buffett, will moderate the morning and afternoon videoconferencing sessions.
