Former Miami Heat basketball player, Alonzo Mourning today announced a million dollar for dollar match for all contributions to Project Medishare/UM Global Institute on his charitable organization web site amcharities.org

Mourning and former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade are trying to recruit other pro athletes in an effort to raise funds for the recovery. Mourning arrived in the devastated capital Friday where he worked to assist Project Medishare/UM Global Institute relief workers in earthquake-ravaged Port-au-Prince.
